Logan has become quite the budding chef. Tonight we made pesto pasta out of one of his kids cookbooks with great success. Liam even liked it and he doesn't like much of everything. Logan grated cheese, used the food processor and helped me taste everything. Liam mostly just drove his car through the grated cheese but he'll get there. So nice to cook in my new kitchen and with a great little helper to boot!
Recently we went down to San Diego for a week to enjoy the sun and fun on Southern California. Everyone had a great time but I think the favorite by far was SeaWorld. Logan couldn't get enough of feeding the Sea Lions and still him and his brother pretend to be Clyde and Seymour, the two sealion stars from the show
"Sealions Live!" Liam also loved the dolphin and killer whale show, thinking it was hilarious when the animals splashed the audience. For more pictures click here!
You know summer is just around the corner when the Farmer's Markets start up. Our little market has really grown and is a lot of fun to attend every Wednesday. This trip got cut a little short since liam had just been to get his 18 month shots and was a little grumpy but we had fun nonetheless. And as you can see Logan is too cool for
school...
Scott has been shopping for a new guitar and at the shop today they gave Logan an inflatable guitar that he has been playing with all afternoon. His songs that he makes up are about 6 minutes long and his band is called "Thunderrock." Apparently at his shows rocks fall down from the ceiling and lightning that gives you special powers. How awesome is that!! And yes those are Mario pj's he is wearing.
The boys have been enjoying the good weather and love playing outside in the back yard or at the park. Logan would play in the pool all day long if you let him while Liam is more content to throw stuff in it. He has also gotten very good at giving kisses but beware. His kisses are usually an open mouth planted on your face. His favorite and only word he says consistently is "Yeah" and "Good." Hard to believe but he goes in for his 18 month check up tomorrow!
Today logan got a sweet new backpack in the mail from our friend Keiko in Japan.
It is a backpack that all kindergarten kids use and that I fell in love with when I was over there last. I totally want one for myself and hope to convince Logan to share it with me. Hard to believe Logan will be going to Kindergarden in the Fall. You always hear that they grow up so fast but boy is it the truth!
And for fun I included a picture of Liam driving one of Logan's cars. One of his new favorite activities.
Last week we went on our first family vacation with all four of us. We were quite leery of traveling with a 15 month-old and a 5 year-old and no idea what would happen. But surprisingly the boys did great and we had a wonderful time. We spent the first two days at Legoland and the last day at the beach. Logan rode every roller-coaster in the park and really enjoyed the 4D movie where it actually snowed on you at the end. Liam liked the playground and playing in the water. We all enjoyed the exclusive apple fries with vanilla whip cream. Yum. The beach was great. Logan loved splashing in the ocean and jumping over the waves. And since it was Southern California his legs didn't go numb! It was a great vacation and we are so thankful to our hosts for being
so accommodating! Best vacation ever.

After over 3 weeks of not having a computer, I am finally back online! My co
mputer
essentially had a total meltdown and after replacing pretty much everything we are back in business and faster then ever.
The boys have been very busy around here. Logan is a reading champion and is getting pretty good at math. He is also a whiz with building legos and loves learning about space.
Liam has been busy teaching himself to jump, crawl up onto the couch and generally get into as much trouble as possible. He also has graduated from the Robeez to his first pair of airwalks. It's nice
because when he wears them he kinda clomps around like Frankenstein...sorry Scott, Frankenstein's monster (lit. majors are so
particular) so you always know where
he is.
