San Diego!

IMG_7293 Recently we went down to San Diego for a week to enjoy the sun and fun on Southern California.  Everyone had a great time but I think the favorite by far was SeaWorld.  Logan couldn't get enough of feeding the Sea Lions and still him and his brother pretend to be Clyde and Seymour, the two sealion stars from the show IMG_7273"Sealions Live!"  Liam also loved the dolphin and killer whale show, thinking it was hilarious when the animals splashed the audience.  For more pictures click here!

Farmers Market

Farmers market You know summer is just around the corner when the Farmer's Markets start up.  Our little market has really grown and is a lot of fun to attend every Wednesday.  This trip got cut a little short since liam had just been to get his 18 month shots and was a little grumpy but we had fun nonetheless.  And as you can see Logan is too cool forFarmers market 2 school...

"Thunderrock"

Logan rock Scott has been shopping for a new guitar and at the shop today they gave Logan an inflatable guitar that he has been playing with all afternoon.  His songs that he makes up are about 6 minutes long and his band is called "Thunderrock."  Apparently at his shows rocks fall down from the ceiling and lightning that gives you special powers.  How awesome is that!!  And yes those are Mario pj's he is wearing.-1

The boys have been enjoying the good weather and love playing outside in the back yard or at the park.  Logan would play in the pool all day long if you let him while Liam is more content to throw stuff in it.  He has also gotten very good at giving kisses but beware. His kisses are usually an open mouth planted on your face.  His favorite and only word he says consistently is "Yeah" and "Good."  Hard to believe but he goes in for his 18 month check up tomorrow!

Logan's new backpack

Logan backpack Today logan got a sweet new backpack in the mail from our friend Keiko in Japan. Logan backpack 2 It is a backpack that all kindergarten kids use and that I fell in love with when I was over there last.  I totally want one for myself and hope to convince Logan to share it with me.  Hard to believe Logan will be going to Kindergarden in the Fall.  You always hear that they grow up so fast but boy is it the truth!

And for fun I included a picture of Liam driving one of Logan's cars.  One of his new favorite activities.

Super fun vactionorama!

IMG_6857 Last week we went on our first family vacation with all four of us.  We were quite leery of traveling with a 15 month-old and a 5 year-old and no idea what would happen.  But surprisingly the boys did great and we had a wonderful time.  We spent the first two days at Legoland and the last day at the beach.  Logan rode every roller-coaster in the park and really enjoyed the 4D movie where it actually snowed on you at the end.  Liam liked the playground and playing in the water.  We all enjoyed the exclusive apple fries with vanilla whip cream.  Yum.  The beach was great. Logan loved splashing in the ocean and jumping over the waves.  And since it was Southern California his legs didn't go numb!  It was a great vacation and we are so thankful to our hosts for beingIMG_6868 so accommodating!  Best vacation ever.

Welcome back online...

Alien liam After over 3 weeks of not  having a computer, I am finally back online!  My coLogan cookingmputer essentially had a total meltdown and after replacing pretty much everything we are back in business and faster then ever.

The boys have been very busy around here.  Logan is a reading champion and is getting pretty good at math.  He is also a whiz with building legos and loves learning about space.

Liam has been busy teaching himself to jump, crawl up onto the couch and geUpside down logannerally get into as much trouble as possible.  He also has graduated from the Robeez to his first pair of airwalks.  It's nice  because when he wears them he kinda clomps around like Frankenstein...sorry Scott, Frankenstein's monster (lit. majors are soLiam chicken hair particular) so you always know where he is.

He's 5!!!!

Logan and R2 On Friday Logan celebrated his 5th birthday.  It is so hard to believe but it's true!  He now loves board games, building legos and watching dad play Guitar Hero.  He really likes the song "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses and will sing it in the bath.  It is highly amusing.

This year he had his party at the Little Gym and had a fantastic time.  I also had a fantastic time because they did everything for me and it was chaos free. Hard to believe I know but if you are looking for a place to have your kids birthday I highly recommend it!

Liam also had a good time at his brothers birthday party.  He especially liked eating the birthday cake which he proudly ate all of with a fork.  That boy is bound and determined to do everything is brotherLiam cake does as soon as possible.

Get to know your Cushmen! Part 1: Liam

Liam or linus? Liam Cushman....the boy of the hour...

Here's some interesting FAQ's about the youngest Cushman:
1.  Favorite food is without a doubt, bananas.  He is also partial to pizza, and anything he finds on the floor.
2.  Is very independent.  Hates it when you break food into pieces for him or not let him walk around on his own.
3.  Loves the TV show "Yo Gabba Gabba."  Especially the episodes Robot and Halloween.
4.  Loves to sit and look at books - then tell you all about them in his Liam baby speak.
5.  Has huge hands and knows how to use them.  If you think something is out of his reach you are very much mistaken.
6.  Loves drumming.  Would walk around the house all day with drumsticks if we let him.
7.  Drools more then any human baby in the world.  We go through 3-4 shirts a day.
8.  Loves to dance.
9.  When he gets upset he stomps his little feet or pumps his legs.  Hysterical to watch.
10.  Has the best belly-busting laugh I have ever heard.  When he gets going I challenge anyone to not laugh with him.  Impossible.

Happy New Year

DC00080 So one of my New Year's Resolution's is to blog more.  Now that my computer is working, Logan is back to school and we don't have two feet of snow outside I think I might be able to live up to that.

Amusingly, Logan got a kids digital camera for Christmas.  He likes to go around taking photos of random things and of course himself.  It also has an effects feature that allows you to put funny things around people.  This one seemed appropriate.
